In this course, we are going to introduce, discuss and evaluate techniques and methods of Virtual Reality on current research work and application-oriented projects. In particular, the lecture comprises the following aspects: Methods of interaction and navigation in 3D space, auditory and haptic interfaces, leading-edge display and interface technology, immersive visualization as a combination of scientific visualization and VR, virtual humans, formal user studies.
The course is followed by an oral exam in August/September. Students are liable to make an individual appointment via email to office@vr.rwth-aachen.de on or before June 26.
