At this year's JARA Forum on October, 1st in Berlin scientists of JARA-HPC introduced the field of activity and the application opportunities of computer simulation and highly parallel computations (seeofficial german press release or on facebook).

High-level scientific experts provided insight into their concepts and research results of JARA-HPC ("High Performance Computing"). In three sessions the benefit of HPC was exemplary shown for
  • the brain visualization in neuroscience,
  • the environmental research as well as for
  • engineering sciences.

During the reception members of the JARA-HPC Cross-Sectional Group "Immersive Visualization" presented latest research results of the new
In-situ Visualization of Multiphase Jet Simulations
as well as of the
Visualization of Simulated Neural Brain Activity.
Besides guests obtain extensive insights into the research areas of JARA-HPC in a poster exhibition.
